Uganda National Day 2015
This Doodle’s Key Themes
Yellow, for the sunlight of Africa. Red, for the blood of African brotherhood. And black, for all the peoples of the continent. These colors, plus a forward-looking crane, make up the flag of Uganda, whose national day we commemorate today. Created by the country’s Minister of Justice, the colorful shades of Uganda first flew 53 years ago, when the country became independent. Today’s doodle, created by Alyssa Winans, celebrates Uganda by bringing to life it’s bold, bright flag.
