About the World Space Week Doodle
Today’s World Space Week 2026 Doodle celebrates the technology that makes spectacular astrophotography possible. The artwork features an image from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, which uses infrared vision to cut through the dense cosmic dust of Herbig-Haro 46/47.
Herbig-Haro objects are rare structures created when newborn stars shoot out high-speed gas. This gas runs into nearby dust clouds, causing them to light up and glow.
