Singapore National Day 2024
This Doodle’s Key Themes
Today's Doodle celebrates Singapore’s National Day. On this day in 1965, Singapore separated from the Federation of Malaysia and became a fully independent nation.
Crowds gather by the thousands to watch the grand National Day Parade, traditionally held at the Padang, the former National Stadium, and The Float @ Marina Bay. The Parade includes military displays, multicultural song and dance performances and fireworks, of course! All around the country, families and friends wave the flag of Singapore and share a feast of chili crab, chicken rice, or other favorite treats.
Happy National Day, Singapore!
