From my personal view, it has been a true stroke of luck in history that not a single person had to die in these turbulent times before, during and after the fall of the wall until the reunification in 1990. What better reason could exist to have this holiday?And in Deutsch:
Für mich persönlich ist es bis heute ein großer Glücksfall der Geschichte, dass im Zusammenhang mit den turbulenten Ereignissen vor, während und nach dem Mauerfall bis hin zur politischen Wiedervereinigung 1990, nicht ein einziger Mensch zu Tode kam. Welchen besseren Grund kann es für diesen Feiertag geben?
