Denmark Elections 2015
This Doodle’s Key Themes
Happy Election Day, Denmark! It's been nearly four years since the last Danish election, which happened on 11 September 2011. Today's election has been called by the Prime Minister of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, to elect the 179 seats in the Folketing, which is the Danish electoral body. 175 representatives of the Folketing are elected in Denmark, 2 in the Faroe Islands and 2 in Greenland. Today's Doodle is a celebration of a consistent and peaceful process for the changing of the guard.
